All our professionals at McCagh, Roberts and Herring Dermatology maintain the highest levels of accreditation and pursue ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest trends in dermatology. We currently have three physicians and two physician assistants.

Dr. Ken Roberts, MD

Dr. Roberts grew up in Wheeling, West Virginia. He attended and graduated from high school at the Capitol Page School, Washington D.C, while he served as a Senate Page for three years. He was appointed by West Virginia Senator Jennings Randolph. Dr. Roberts returned to West Virginia and enrolled in West Virginia University. He graduated in 1974 from WVU's Medical School and completed his Medicine Internship there in 1975. He completed his residency with Dr. William Welton between 1976 and 1979. He joined Dr. Mike McCagh in Cumberland in 1979 when they formed McCagh and Roberts Dermatology. Dr. Roberts holds an active license to practice medicine is both WV and MD.

Dr. Roberts is a member of the Allegany County Medical Society and has served as president. He also is a member of the Maryland State Medical Society and of the Dermatology Foundation. He became Board Certified in 1980 with the American Board of Dermatology and of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Roberts is involved in various community activities. He is a past president of the Foundation for Frostburg. He is currently Vice President of Friends of Frostburg Library and a co- founder of Roots Music Series along with the Allegany Art Council and WFWM Radio.

Dr. Roberts and his wife, Margie reside in Frostburg. They are the proud parents to two daughters, Julia and Katey. Julia is currently attending Georgetown University and Katey is currently attending the University of Maryland.  He is an ardent enthusiast of Appalachian arts, music and culture.

Dr. Sean McCagh, MD

Dr. Sean McCagh was born and raised in Cumberland, Maryland. He came home to practice Dermatology with his brother Mike and Dr. Roberts in 1996. Dr. McCagh has a BS in Biology from Mount Saint Mary's College and a Masters in Physiology from Georgetown University. Dr. McCagh graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1992. He completed his Medical Internship at Washington Hospital Center in 1993.

Dr. McCagh finished his Dermatology Residency as Chief Resident at The Robert C. Byrd School of Health Sciences, West Virginia University Medical Center in 1996. Dr. McCagh is a Member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. He is Board Eligible with the American Board of Dermatology and of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. McCagh has a special interest in lasers for both general and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. McCagh is a member of both the Allegany County Medical Society and Maryland State Medical Society.

Dr. McCagh is very involved in Special Olympics and has been the Chairman of the annual Hooley Plunge for the last six years. The Hooley Plunge raises money for Allegany County Special Olympics, Boy Scout Troop 89 for the developmentally disabled and local schools with developmental disability programs as well.

Dr. McCagh lives in Cumberland with his wife Terri and three sons.

Dr. Daniel B. Herring, MD, FAAD, American Board of Dermatology Certified

Dr. Daniel Herring is a graduate of West Virginia University School of Medicine where he also completed a one year fellowship in pathology. His post graduate work includes an internship at Connemaugh Memorial Hospital in Johnstown, PA. He completed his dermatology residency at Roger Williams Medical Center, a major affiliate of Boston University, where he served as chief resident during his final year. Dr. Herring completed his undergraduate work at West Virginia University and obtained a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy prior to attending medical school.

His professional interests are general dermatology, cancer of the skin, cutaneous surgery and cosmetic dermatology. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatological Surgeons and the American Medical Association. He became Board Certified in 2010 with the American Board of Dermatology. He splits his time between the Cumberland and Oakland, MD offices.

Dr. Herring is a native of Uniontown, PA, he currently lives in Cumberland, MD with his wife, Chris. Dr. Herring is an avid outdoorsman, he enjoys hunting, sporting clays, fishing, whitewater rafting and kayaking.

Dan Herring

Natashia VanSlyke, PA-C

Natashia VanSlyke is a graduate of Washington College with a Bachelor of Science degree and a graduate of St. Francis University, where she received her master's of Physician Assistant Sciences. Natashia is a physician assistant at McCagh & Roberts, M.D., P.A., and was granted advanced duties from the Maryland Board of Physicians for laser work approval.



Nina Buckey, PA-C   

Nina Buckey is a graduate of Gannon University where she earned her Bachelor of Health Science as well as her Master of Physician assistant degree in Erie, PA. She is an avid runner and enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and fishing. Nina currently lives in Cumberland, MD.



Brittany Eberly, PA-C   

Brittany Eberly is a graduate of Towson University where she earned a dual degree Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance. She attended Seton Hill University and received a Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies. Brittany found a passion in dermatology during her clinical rotations at McCagh, Roberts and Herring for Seton Hill. She enjoys all aspects of the arts community, but particularly enjoys ballet and participating in yoga. Brittany is a native of Frostburg and currently resides there with her loyal Golden retriever, Emmy.
